Driver education is offered through a blended model with two required components: 1) online eCampus course and 2) behind-the-wheel instruction. The online eCampus course is self-paced and done at home or other location, not on a school campus.
The behind-the-wheel instruction includes three 2-hour private driving lessons with a community partner, the Florida Safety Council, in their vehicles equipped with dual brakes. Upon successful completion of the entire driver education course, students receive .5 credit with a grade of Pass/Fail and a certificate of completion that some insurance companies may accept for a reduced rate.
Enrollment is limited and if more applications are received than space available in the course, a selective admissions process will be used. Students will be notified of their enrollment status in the course through their school email account.
